We have learned about a lot of frameworks and models so far in EDC3100 so I thought it was great that one of our tasks this week was to fill out a table describing each of them as this will not only come in handy for professional experience but also for Assignment 3. Here is the table:

|TPACK framework||Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge: it is a combination of what the students are learning, how we can teach it and what tools (ICTs) are available to teach it in order to amplify and transform learning and teaching.||This is something I hope to bring with me to professional experience and build on and improve while on it. Combining these knowledge’s will be beneficial in lesson planning to transform student learning.|
|Backwards design||Deciding on the learning objectives and assessment first before planning the learning experiences.||This will be very valuable to lesson planning on Professional experience which will then contribute to our assignment 3.|
|SAMR Model||Substitution Augmentation Modification Redefinition… similar to RAT framework… it is a model that ensures you are integrating ICTs that are redefining learning rather than just acting as a substitution for a previous non-ICT method.||Keeping an example list of this in my professional experience folder will help when I am planning lessons and therefore contribute to Part B of assignment 3.|
|TIP Model||Technology Integration Planning model has 5 phases aimed at ensuring technology is integrated effectively into a lesson/unit.||When lesson planning for professional experience and trying to integrate ICTs effectively which will therefore be important for Part B of assignment 3.|
|The 5Es||Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate is a teaching sequence that can be used for lesson and unit planning.||Help to plan lessons on professional experience and therefore help in assignment 3.|

Child friendly ways to share to students the learning objectives of the lesson/unit and criteria needed for success.
|These will be important to remember to say at the beginning of each lesson or unit whilst on professional experience.|
|Connectivism||A digital age learning theory. The theory states that because of technology learning happens in different ways, correct information needs to be chosen, learning is ongoing and staying connected is an important part of the learning process.||Having the knowledge of this theory on professional experience will help when we are developing ICT-rich lessons.|
|Bloom’s taxonomy||Six taxonomies aimed at promoting higher order thinking. The aim is to move from remembering facts (rote learning) to analyzing and evaluating them.||This is always important to consider when lesson planning… for this professional experience Bloom’s digital taxonomy will be very helpful to ensure ICTs that incorporated will be bringing students learning to higher orders of thinking.|
|Postman’s 5 things||5 things/ideas to know about technological change. 5 ideas are technology and its impact on culture and the need for balance.||Important ideas to keep in mind throughout professional experience.|
|Toolbelt theory/TEST framework||Toolbelt theory: everyone needs a range of tools and know how to use them in order to survive.
TEST: Task Environment Skills Tools: helps when choosing the best tool for the job.
|When lesson planning and teaching on professional experience I’ll need to use the TEST framework to help me pick the best ICT tool.|
|PKM||Personal Knowledge Management: What do you want to know? (based on your interests and abilities). Know how to process information in order to act on it. The journey from a learner to skilled in your chosen path and to then share your knowledge.||Throughout professional experience when lesson planning I will be constantly engaged in PKM and blogging to share my knowledge.|
